Milan piled more misery on Sampdoria as they comfortably ran out 3 – 0 winner’s at the San Siro on Saturday evening.

Luca Antonini replaced the injured Massimo Oddo and Pippo Inzaghi was suspended for Milan. Samp had Angelo Palombo, Fabrizio Cacciatore and Marco Rossi all suspended.

Milan couldn’t have had a better start, taking the lead after just 58 seconds. Antonini intercepted an Antonio Cassano pass and sent Ronaldinho down the left for a cross and Marco Borriello’s nodded the ball in from six yards.

This wasn’t the start Samp were looking for, and things were to go from bad to worse soon after, as Samp looked a shadow of the side who started the season so well.

Seedorf was to add the second, he started and finished the move. Seedorf played the ball out wide to Ronaldinho who returned a low cross for Seedorf to smash in from just nine yards.

Pato nearly added a third, as he skipped past the Samp defence but Castellazzi came flying out to save at the Brazilians feet.

The Duck was to get his goal though, as some shambolic defending from Samp, as Borriello nodded down a cross for Pato to fire in a shot, Castellazzi got his hand to it but the rebound landed for Pato to tap in.

Sampdoria switched things around, Stefano Lucchini replaced Daniele Mannini, pushing Reto Ziegler wide midfield.

Sampdoria finally created a chance on the 55th minute but Ziegler’s volley was charged down.

Milan continued to pile on the pressure through out the second half but Samp can be thankful to Castellazzi for keeping the score to just three and he’s made a string of top saves.

A vital win for Milan to keep them second in the table.

A day to forget for Sampdoria as their poor run continues.
